Resumen

ROSALES, Martín Ariel. La genealogía foucaulteana como uso político de la historia. Tópicos [online]. 2022, n.44, e0012. ISSN 1666-485X.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.14409/topicos.2022.44.e0012.

The twists of Foucauldian thought allow us to point out the reference to history as a constant. Foucault’s commitment to the genealogical mode of inquiry is part of the claim to extend his field of research towards the links between knowledge and power relations. From an approach that considers Foucault’s political thought, this article postulates the possibility of understanding genealogy as a political use of history. In this way, the claim is to point out a double source of inspiration in Foucault: on the one hand, the conceptual appropriation of the Nietzschean historical ontology and the formulation of the “Nietzsche hypothesis” of power, which explains it from the relations of forces; on the other, the activism and political militancy of the 70’s under the theoretical and practical principles of French Maoism. This double reference allows a more complete understanding of Foucauldian genealogy, whose political impact is verified in the insurrection and dislocation of popular historical knowledge, which puts politics in a central place.

Palabras clave : Foucault; genealogy; Nietzsche; history; political militancy.
