The aim of this work was to estímate the hours of cold (HC), by dífferent methods (I ICe) lo the using the hours below 7.2"C (HCa) recorded during the period 1970-2007. at Sauce Viejo Station (31°42'S; 60°40'W; 13 m.a.s.l.}. Daily thermohygrograph data for the period between May Ist 1970 and September 30th 2007. were utilized to compute HCa. Animal HCe vvere estimated by difieren! models: Weimberger. Da Mota, Crossa-Raynaud, Sánchez-Capuchino, Sharpe and Parton and Logan. Average HCr were 435. HCe fluctuated between 410 and 735. dependingon the model. The models that presented good udjustment were Crossa-Raynaud. Sánchez-Capuchino and Parton and Logan. Crossa-Raynaud model showed the lowest standard error (18). The models with high determination coeífícients are useful to estímate HC for Sauce Viejo and surroundings áreas.
