Resumen

DENOIA, J; DI LEO, N; BONEL, E  y  MONTICO, S. Eficiencia y Balance Energético de Biodiesel de Soja en Diferentes Condiciones de Degradación Edáfica en el Sur de Santa Fe. FAVE. Secc. Cienc. agrar. [online]. 2012, vol.11, n.1, pp.58-64. ISSN 1666-7719.

Biofuels are considered as an alternative to the curren! global energy crisis generated from the decline in oil reserves and the increasing diffículties for its removal, among others causes. In Argentina, soybean crop is the main source of ravv material for biofuel production and !he degree of soil degradation in the agricultural production systems could condition the efficiency of the productive process, consequently affecting the biodiesel production chain. The objective of this work was to determine the incidencc of soil resource degradation condition on efficiency and energetic balance of biodiesel productive process from soybean grain in southeast región of Santa Fe province. The study was preformed over the influence área of Zavalla village. The selected soil serie was Peyrano, widely distributed in the área. This was affected by two degrees of erosión to represent the state of degradation: slight (loss of 15% from topsoil) and severe (loss of 70% from topsoil). To obtain yield data of soybean crop the Decisions Support System for Agrotechnology Transference (DSSAT, versión 4.0) was used. Subsequently, an energetic balance of crop was done an energetic balance of crop by integrating yield data and the corresponding inputs of the regional technologic model. The pre-industrialization energy consumption was obtained by including the energetic waste due to grain transportation. Then, the industrial phase was characterized in terms of energy and fínally, the energetic balance of the biodiesel production was elaborated by considering its calorific power and that of its subproducts. Energetic efficiency and balance were mainly affected by rainfall and to a lesser extent by the degree of water erosión.

Palabras clave : Biofuels; Energetic balance; Soybean; Soil degradation.
