Abstract

SALVADEO, Victoria  and  RUARTE, Paula. WORLD HERITAGE: TALAMPAYA NATIONAL PARK IMPORTANCE IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT.. Ser. correl. geol. [online]. 2018, vol.34, n.2, pp.1-10. ISSN 1666-9479.

This paper seeks to approximate the discussion on the hypothesis that the designations of local heritage, which are then recognized worldwide, become the main axis of the eco-nomy and tourist planning of the places that contain it; based on this, the patrimonialization process of the Talampaya National Park (PNT), designated World Heritage by UNESCO for its exceptional scien-tific value in geological/paleontological matters, is briefly exposed, with the aim of emphasizing the importance of these in tourism management processes. The results were verified through the collection of bibliography and reading of general and specific material on the subject, as well as interviewing key informants and surveys of the hotel service, as well as the main techniques used. Among the prelimi-nary results was obtained: that the tourism development around the PNT is even more related to the articulation of the tourism policies that were promoted in the different levels of State, than with the hypothesis that initiates this study.
