Commemorate is to remember publicly. The celebration of the Bicentennial of the May Revolution in Argentina enabled the communicational presence of various social actors through a set of institutional advertisements in the press. The analysis of the synchronous series will give an account of the ways in which institutions introduced themselves and, simultaneously, they present a version of the past and projections about the present and the future. Among the institutional decision processes, the determinations generated by the technical media devices and the automatisms of the discourse, there will arise a form of historically founded visibility, demonstration of several ways to constitute the public thing.
