This article analyzes the treatment that Cabildo magazine editorial, conspicuous representative of the Catholic nationalist thought in Argentina, gave the military uprising that a group of Argentine military officers called "Carapintada" starred during Holy Week April 1987. The rebellion was aimed at pressuring the government primary democratic Raul Alfonsin to that would deter criminal investigations into crimes committed by members of the Armed Forces during the illegal repression in the period of the military dictatorship (1976-1983). The magazine Cabildo, staunch opponent of radical government and explicit repression advocate, will celebrate the military uprising with arguments relating to the claim of "military honor violated" and other arguments related to his preaching nationalist and pro-military, as part of an editorial position which encouraged the military to "claim and continue the fight against subversion".
