This paper puts forward the outcomes of a research in progress which aim is to analyse media representation of groups in subaltern positions in the present of Argentina. We have focused upon regional migrants, drug's consumers and LGTB community, de / re constructing the overall media device through the analysis of the ways media represents these groups. After an in-depth presentation of the analysis we stand for the hypothesis that the enunciation modality of this media device is androcentric and ethnocentric, which is coherent with the historical otherness construction of Argentina's cultural configuration.
