This article analyzes the covers and back covers of the Peronist magazine Línea from the mid 1980s to the beginning of 1982, during the last Argentine military dictatorship (1976-1983). Línea was published for the first time in June 1980 in a context of loss of political capital of the military government and was highlighted by its strongly opposed speech that claimed its membership in Peronism and the “national field”. The covers and back covers analyzed are the ones that made explicit a criticism towards the dictatorship and a denunciation about what the magazine considered as the harmful effects of its policies for the country. For the purposes of the analysis we have divided those expressions between those that pointed to a political criticism and an economic critique.
