Abstract

CORBACHO, Myriam; JUSTINIANO, María Fernanda; MANENTE, Alejandro  and  CORBACHO, Viviana. Infamy, violence and madness: Salta at the end of the xix century. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2000, n.13, pp.195-214. ISSN 1668-8104.

Infamy, violence and madness are problematics that they given at one time in one space, with their local particularities and also with likeness and continuances between the past and the present. Foucault's thought allows us to reveal the hidden things and allows to make visible the invisible things. We must to see the reals problems of the daily life in Salta, at the end of the XIX century. We have to move away from the anecdote to think about the social differences and to be able to analyze how the power was with transgressor, the criminal and the lunatic.
