Abstract

Our investigation is centered on the study of de land commerce in the Tucuman jurisdiction between 1800 and 1850, as a way to know the Tucuman agrarian structure in the XIX century. In this exposition (work - proposal) we want to analyze the land buyers group composition, doing an occupational characterization of them, in order to later, take in account the rural propriety utilization, with de object to enter upon the complex matter of the land function inside the economic strategies of the analyzed persons (fellow). - By this we will consider and combine the following variables: buyers, occupations, purchase investments and investments for land improvements, rotation level of the rural propriety. The sources consulted for this work are: notarial protocols, sales tax registers and wills, besides polls elaborated with commerce guides.
