This paper studies the «mestizo» group of Acatzingo (Puebla, Nueva España) at the end of the XVIIIth century. Placed in the crossroads that connected Mexico City, Veracruz and Tierras calientes, textil manufactures were an important production of the town. Determining those features who «mestizos» shared or not with the other non indigenous groups (spatial distribution, sex, legal status and occupation), permit us to make progress on the knowledge of the influence that ethnic structure have had in the social relationships in Nueva España.
