Abstract

Argentine papers that try to deal with the knowledge that there is actually in our classrooms they generally analyze the practices with ethnographic methodology and treat problems related to student and teacher's life. This paper aims to facilitate a systematic observation of the way in which knowledge is dealt with in the classrooms with this objective an observation instrument has been built, which allows to codify linguistic forms used at school, since language is an instrument par excellence in school communication, with its frequencies and sequences can be communicated (this does not occur with ethnographies) and that the support, or the empirical frame of language limits the subjectivity of the description, facilitating the verification and replica of the findings of other researches. The observation instrument that is proposed permits a discourse analysis, that is, the correlation of what is said (what is immediately learnt) with the principles of production that structure it (what is invisible) This purpose has sense within a conceptual frame given by the Bourdieu school, from which it is then possible to think that the educational practice is developed according to a kind of logic that surpasses explicit normativity next to rational calculation, there are other principles generators of a practice, irreducible to the will-power an conscience of the agents.
