Abstract

TERRON DE BELLOMO, Herminia. The motif in the weave of Jujuy's oral tales: an identity feature of The Andes culture. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2001, n.16, pp.27-39. ISSN 1668-8104.

The hypothesis put forward in this paper starts, in the first place, by considering oral tales as verbal acts of communication, bearers of a message identifying the cultural specifics of the community witch produces them. In the selected corpus, tales are studied as discourse practices where elements witch constitute the cosmology of the man from. The Andes region are involved. Thus, the analysis enables us to affirm that the tales manifest the crisis in the relationship between the man from The Andes and the new social structure established by the conquest. The social practice generating sense in these tales is the one which refers to work regulations; the tale gives evidence about the attitude from The Andes man who cherishes of life from ancestral origin.
