Abstract

ANDACHT, Fernando. A (re) vision of the imaginary and the myth from the point of view of C.S. Peirce. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2001, n.17, pp.11-28. ISSN 1668-8104.

This paper presents a theoretical crossing, possible and fructiferous, between a triadic semiotic model done by C.S. Peirce and some key notions of Social Sciences, exactly as they were presented by some of their early thinkers (Durkleim, Sorel) and as well as their modern followers (Anderson, Kolakowski). Around the myth, ritual, and imaginary concept, it is possible to establish a dialogue with Peircean Semiotics basic elements. The purpose of this reflection is to point out a future way rather than presenting a thesis on how a confluence of the social sciences and triadic semiotics could be.
