Although Semiotics has, nowadays, other urgencies and the theoretical interest for the character was left behind, the every day analytical procedure calls for once and again, this inevitable semiotic object. It is in these grounds where, according to the author, the character slips away, in more than one analytical concrete text the mirage of an anthropomorphic essence, presumably sent by the theory. In this paper, it is attempted to demonstrate, by a semipragmatic approach of Roger Odin´s, that "representational nature", "real" of the character of the documentary, and the "imaginary", "ficticious" nature of the fictional character, they share more than one aspect of its Semiotic action.
