City passions to make South America pretends to walk around the city to see it from the point of view of the citizen. Part of previous research work of its author in which be has intended to design a methodology to capture urban "imaginaries" in the cultural life of the two "Americas", but it now attempts to think the urban phenomenon from arts point of view, even from arts point of view even from the contemporary popular art. Seeing cities from this condition, city expression that takes form in some everyday rituals, such as "Las Madres de Plaza de Mayo" long street walks, the television "fachas" on Peruvian television, ball halls in Mexico or even the media terror of the Medellin Cartel, all of them presented as scripts in a process to characterize a complex and dissimilar Latin American city aesthetics.
