Abstract

    In this paper, the non local lithic component of Los Amarillos site is described, with the purpose of beginning a database about the production of stone artifacts and that it allows in the future to establish comparisons and to undertake studies of processes of greater scale. It is considered that a bigger knowledge of the characteristics and the composition of the of lithic artifacts assemblage and their temporary and space variation are fundamental to understand the sociocultural dynamics and their transformations. In the work the tasks will be described with relationship to the analysis of the lithic materials from this site. It will also be characterized in a preliminary way some artifacts as well as the lithic assemblage and will be presented for the discussion some concerning points to the lithic production system developed until the moment.
