The article recovers results of an anthropological research that considerering cases of peasant families residents in the north of Córdoba, sets out to explain and to understand its educative strategies as a part of the mechanisms of daily and social reproduction. We identified a set of educative strategies (formal and nonformal) common to the set of the studied families and some different practices. The research reconstructs familiar practices and representations on education, but in addition it tries to explain the relations between the structuring of those options and decisions with the global social processes. The transformations of the social rural space in Tulumba, the process of lost of its peasant condition and the progressive urbanization of the town, is the frame of analysis to understand the way in which the education is included or not within the mechanisms of daily survival and the strategies that the families construct to hold or to improve their social position in the system of class relations.
