Abstract

LOSADA, Flora. Paradox of the identity in the quebrada de Humahuaca: In the resulting of new social actors. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2006, n.31, pp.33-52. ISSN 1668-8104.

This paper tries to point out the resulting and development of new identity groups in the Quebrada de Humahuaca. The Modern Perspectives in Folclore and, specially the ritual concept let us to make out these new groups that they outline themselves in the organization and demonstration of their calendar celebrations. These expressive manifestations impose at first sight the play of identities in process; they show a strong differential and selfidentity content of celebrations of a locality and, at a time, of the interplaying groups in every celebration. Also, starting from obtained dates by interviews to the proper actors and by observation it is possible to note, furthermore, the presence of the andine/bolivian culture. This is assumed as a pride and replevying characteristic.
