In this paper we present the first results obtained from the archaeological research done at Tres Cruces (Quebrada del Toro, Salta). Previous information related to site characteristics as chronology and others aspects will be discussed. The field methodology done at the site will be presented. Work field have included fieldwalking, site mapping and architectural features recording. Two of these architectural structures were excavated. The first results obtained from these preliminary excavations, suggest the existence of a greater complexity, related to its settlement history as well as its space organization, different to those indicated from previous investigations.
