The poetry written by women in Jujuy has acquired bigger consideration not only by the specialists of the literature but also by the readers. Although Estela Mamaní published only one book Voy siendo in 2001, she is considered to be one of the most distinguished exponents in the jujeño literary field. How can we approach the poetry of this author? We must take the idea given by Roland Barthes so we can say that we are only fragments of a loving speech. That's why that in this work I intend to pick up those pieces, to fit together the puzzle that the poetess book proposes to do and to analyze some of her poems, following her steps through her letters. We can also notice our feeling of "being incomplete". We live separated from the world. We are strange navigators, foreigners, in a sea where we can not submerge. This dissociation feeling characterizes her poetry where the lyric ego tries to overcome the distances through literary creation and the language is the anchor.
