Abstract

LIMINANA GRAS, Rosa María. When creating is more than a game: creativity, fantasy and imagination in the youth. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2008, n.35, pp.39-43. ISSN 1668-8104.

A review of some of the fundamental concepts for understanding the origin and development of imagination, fantasy and creativity in adolescence and youth. The freedom and confidence frequently observed in a child's creative activity do not disappear with the years. On the contrary, they are integrated with the development of cognitive and social capacities and skills, therefore raising new ways of imagination and leading to a distinct type of creative activity, which is different in nature and content to that of the child and the adult.

Keywords : Imagination; Fantasy; Game; Child creativity; Adolescence; Youth; Creative activity; Ceative development.
