This paper starts with what it is supposed in the education in competences in the university context nowadays and, in a more specific way, it is centred on the need to form in the development of the creative competence. It is defended that this situation not only involves a different evaluation of students but also, the process can be reversed: by entering some didactic principles in the assessment process the development of the creative competence could be fomented. Finally, some of the principles to follow in one evaluation for the creative competence in the university education are stablished.
