The goal of this paper is to identify the kinds of teaching and learning that lead to creative problem solving in sciences. We analyze an educational experience carried out by university teachers who completed a graduate program, with a master's or a specialization in Science Education. The variables that will be taken into account are the expectations and aspirations of both the teachers presently attending the program and those students who have already submitted their final thesis. The topic itself is particularly promising, in outcomes of meaningful learning, and the results will be reflected in new educational practices and a novel attitude towards Science, understood as a means of fostering personal and communal development and as a means of ensuring a greater social equality by providing access to resources that allow for a better quality of life for most individuals.
