Abstract

The present article is an analysis about the ritual of the soul's day which concerns to a cultural phenomenon that belongs to the Andean roots peoples of the Argentinian northwest. For that, I observed how the Ramos family performs the ritual at the Humahuaca gorge, location placed at the north of Jujuy province and starting from retrieving the narratives of the members of this family and theoretical proposals of different authors I arrived to a preliminary interpretation of this phenomenon.
