MACIAS, Gustavo Fidel. Evaluation of the quality of attention in campo verde health center: S.S. de Jujuy. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2009, n.37, pp.291-305. ISSN 1668-8104.

San Salvador de Jujuy faces a dynamic social and health reality, permeated by multiple variables. This reality requires multidisciplinary teams capable of contributing with new solutions to unusual problems, which are related to a disorganized urban development, to the population's impoverishment and to a great diversity in demand. An evaluation of quality of assistance is necessary since current instruments are not enough to measure quality of assistance of Health Centers and their capacity of satisfying population necessities. Objectives: General Objectives: To do research, focused on evaluation, on the most relevant components of quality of assistance, within 8 Health Center in San Salvador de Jujuy during 2001. Specific Objectives: To do research on resource availability and on the organizational level; to analyze the structure conditions; to identify the actual course of the processes in maternal and child assistance, and to find out the degree of client satisfaction. Methodology: The research is retrospective observational and descriptive; the methodology is multidimensional and qualitative/quantitative. It consists of the combination of complementary instruments for the characterization of the Health Centers, structure evaluation, processes of assistance and results. Results: The score of the Structure is Fair. Four items score Good, other four items score Fair and two score Poor. The Process evaluation results in 74.7% and a score of Fair. The evaluation of results allows seeing a non-lineal association among aspects of the organization, its availability, assistance processes, participation, and satisfaction with the service received. Conclusions: The assistance quality of the Center requires strengthening, political decision, technical support and strategies for community insertion.
