This article is a summary of the progress of the Research Project, «The Elderly in Jujuy: Avatars and Social Impact of Population Aging and their conditions of production», accredited at the Secretary of Science and Technology and Regional Studies of National University of Jujuy (code 08/C179) and runs in the Research Unit in Social Work from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This project has as overall objective to achieve a qualitative and quantitative diagnosis of the state of affairs of the Elderly in the Province of Jujuy, by applying a model that enables convergent investigative through its results, transfer and contribution to the definition public policies and strengthen programs and projects aimed at this population sector.
