"Learning in Seclusion" is a research work that is set in the Project "University of the Street" and has as main characters adolescents who are under arrest due to different crimes in the Penal n° 2, commonly known as Penal de Menores because here there are adolescents from sixteen to twenty-one years old. The purpose of this work is to investigate about those learnings that emerge during the characters´ interaction in daily life. In the Penal n° 2 there are adolescents who have developed the role of "presos" or inmates through an intuitive way,assimilating that learning during their living there. It is understood by "interno" to the person who is prívate from his freedom by the Law of Penal Execution n° 24660, whose condition is accused or convicted prisoner according even though it has been reached a verdict or not in the judicial case. The adolescent is turned into an inmate from the moment he is sent to the Penal but he does not assimilate this condition until days gradually go by as mate of the others and a person under arrest in the Institution. In these relationships between mates and Penal authorities the inmate is deducing, beyond the suggestions of other people, what is convenient to do or not for a better living or how to be successful in certain situations. The process of investigation was developed through several interviews and direct observations of their behaviours in the setting. The analysis of the obtained information was taken from the perspective of the Indicial Semiotics and the Social Cognition. Up to now it was detected two types of learning, one by imitation and one by assimilation of suggestions on an institutional level and a group level. By this way it was identified the circulation of knowledges of "the University of the Street" in the life construction of an adolescent who is turned into an inmate.
