This work analyses women's new role at the labor market in Palpala, Jujuy, after the privatization of ALTOS HORNOS ZAPLA, a factory dedicated to manufacture military equipment, in 1992. Due to the definition of a new social-laboural of structure, new conditions of life are built. In this piece of work, and in a context of crisis, a new social women-led profile of economic business is defined. From an interpretative approach, the behavior of a group of economic participants is described. The study combines the analysis of cases from an ethnographic approach and from a sociological orientation. The design of a framework of analysis emerges after selecting information of 12 case presented in this work. Between the principal conclusions is outlined the importance of the socio-cultural context in the development of entrepreneurial altitudes, which appear in most of the cases since childhood; the professional training does not necessarily imply having entrepreneurial abilities; it can even be an obstacle; in order to develop them it is more important to rely on practical experiences and personal attitudes adaptability, persistence, context interpretation, etc.); concrete impact in the development of business units, as a result of training in management and financial support from municipality; and the absence of changes in the ideologies and in the speeches concerning shared responsibilities between men and women and women's rights in relation to free time.
