NAVA LE FAVI, Daniela Andrea. "Today faith calls": social representations and identities in the case of the workship of miracle in Salta. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2015, n.48, pp.51-64. ISSN 1668-8104.
The paper addresses the social representations around the worship of the "El Señor y La Virgen del Milagro" in the city of Salta. The article uses a qualitative methodology. The paper analyzes the corpus through sociosemiotic discourse analysis. The corpus consists of a set of communications made by Archbishop Mario Antonio Cargnello during the days of devotion, that bring together thousands of believers in the month of September. The research aims to contribute to the local religious studies, from communication point of view that resume the theories of social representations and notions of non-essentialist, strategic and positional identity. Firstly, categories such as "covenant faithfulness" and "Pilgrim, "nation", "Salta identity" and "culture" are studied. The investigation attempts to show how the cult as part of the "salteñidad" is inserted from a colonial look, and how the images of the Miracle play a really important role for society and culture local: be depositories of certain images of world advocated by the Catholic Church in Salta
