The article is a production prepared from the joint work of an interdisciplinary team composed of psychologists, professors in Science Education and students of different careers of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the National University of Jujuy, interested in the problem of the educational inclusion in secondary school. We developed a research project called "Support figures that recognize adolescents at the time of their transition in the educational system". The project is located in the Secretary of Science and Technology of the National University of Jujuy. The transition through the different levels of schooling, according to the scientific literature (Sacristán, 1997) a transcendental change in the lives of students, which triggers multiple psychic and cognitive transformations and in the organization of their daily lives, impact significantly in the formation of their subjectivity and in the creation of social bonds. The team set as its objective of inquiry, to know the figures that are important as guides and support for the adolescents, in the entrance to the secondary school. From a qualitative methodological approach, we used workshops and interviews as information collection strategies, which were used at different moments of the research process, with adolescents who finished the seventh grade, in an urban primary school. From the sayings of the students we were able to visualize in the family context, figures of different nature and depth: economic, emotional, academic; also in relation to the institutional school world we found that adults constitute support figures which favor the support in the student´s school and others that are expulsive of the educational system
