At the end of the 1990s, the countries of Latin America introduced public policies of monetary transfers, aimed at vulnerable social sectors that are outside the contributory social security system. In the context of the rural area of ​​the northeast of the province of Misiones, Argentina, we propose to analyze what is the role of money of state origin in the material conditions of social reproduction of these populations and in the production of meanings linked to the public policies and their beneficiaries. The methodology used is qualitative based on an approach that privileges the subjects' point of view who live the problem analyzed in their daily life.
