Abstract

Young people from the Latin American region and Argentine share the fact of entering a job market where a deteriorated working condition prevails that is expressed in multiple ways. It is in this context that unemployment and precariousness are outstanding trends regarding the work of the young population. In this sense, the article intends to take up the debates around the current problem of youth employment considering the recommendations proposed by different international organizations and contribute to the design of program strategies and public policies that promote the overcoming of youth employment deficits. More specifically, the idea of the text is, on the one hand, to provide information on the educational and employment situation of the youth population in Argentina from the processing and analysis of statistical data from INDEC. On the other hand, establish a dialogue with "The Latin American Economic Outlook Report (OECD / CAF / CEPAL, 2016)" (hereinafter Report), about the feasibility of promoting inclusive growth through promoting entrepreneurship, especially for those young people from poor households or the vulnerable middle class. The applied methodology a was triangulation of sources and data, revealing quantitative statistical information on educational and employment indicators and qualitative reports on the educational and employment situation of the young population
