Innovations promote competitiveness of the actors involved in a particular economic activity. In Argentina, the silobag had been widely used and disseminated with an equitable sharing of benefits. The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of the use of silobags, focusing mainly on economic aspects of innovations. From the social point of view, this innovation could generate benefits from 8.5 to 10 thousand million dollars, allowed farmers to reduce transaction costs, expand the boundaries of the firm, and increase storage possibilities and the value of grain production. This innovation has its origin at the agricultural sector itself and solves the problem of storage shortage. In order to guarantee the emergence and development of good ideas, public policy must create an efficiently regulatory environment, modern infrastructure and promote the development of the financial system and a flexible labor market.
