Resumen

BARDALES, J.L.  y  BARDALES, J.E.. Análisis palinológico a nivel de familia de polen corbicular y superficie pilosa de Melipona eburnea y Melipona illota (Apidae: Meliponini). RIA. Rev. investig. agropecu. [online]. 2021, vol.47, n.2, pp.198-208.  Epub 17-Nov-2021. ISSN 1669-2314.

The present work had the aim to analyze the pollen load from pollen baskets and body hair of worker bees of Melipona eburnea and Melipona illota stingless bee species, and to determine the botanic families of origin of pollen from pollinic types and as well as its frequencies. The stingless bees were evaluated from three different meliponaries belonged to rural farmers who carry out its breeding through the meliponiculture technique in the communities of Zungarococha, Nina Rumi and Llanchama situated in the road Quistococha-Zungarococha-Llanchama located on the right margin height km 5 of the Iquitos-Nauta highway in the department of Loreto, Peru.

In a period of six months October 2015 to March 2016 a total of 1135 pollinic samples (PS) were collected, belong to Melipona eburnea 739 PM and to Melipona illota 396 PM, by means of pollinic analysis 93 pollinic types (PT) were cataloged. The three most frequents PT were TP26 – Myrtaceae with 10.4%, TP27 – Fabaceae with 5.9% and the TP28 – Melastomataceae with 5.8%; 40 botanical families were registered through observation and identification of their main morphology characters being the most representative botanical families Fabaceae with 16 PT, Euphorbiaceae with 10 PT, Melastomataceae with 9 PT, Araceae with 6 PT, and Sapindaceae with 4PT. The research concluded in that, both species of stingless bees have similar preference for the botanical families Fabaceae and Myrtaceae, and a great preference for Melastomataceae; these results will help to understand the complexity of its floral preference and will contribute to develop best breeding practices in the meliponiculture.
