We focus on the development of Participatory Action Research in Psychology. It is observed that in America and Europe, this methodology is used in a variety of subject areas, mainly in Community Psychology. It deals mainly with social issues, community and social variables, using quantitative and qualitative. It is based on a process of reflection-action-reflection, where participation is paramount. The main difficulty relates to the validity and scientific rigor and assesses the implications of the research community. It promotes greater systematization of these experiences, testify to the validity and reliability of the method and ensure full participation
