This article examines comparatively cooperative principles with the current dimensions of Social responsibility (SR). The comparison seeks to determine consensus and disagreements between these two principles. It is a study with a qualitative approach of descriptive character; pure research, exclusively theoretical cutting. It is has been able to determine that the SRissues are not deepened by the co-operative model, also that it is inconceivable a cooperative that is managed through its values and principles but, at the same time, is not socially responsible.
