The present article considers one approximation of the existent relation between social representation of the city and the changes in public urban space. It includes the analysis from a complete vision, so it examines the representations as cultural constructions and makes it evident the importance of the employment of the Theory of the Social Representations in this kind of investigation. These studies give access to narratives shaped by groups and individuals. The approach from multiple disciplines offers a pathway to more comprehensive researches of the relation the public urban space-social representations, as well as the cultural bias present in these narratives.
