The present text expounds essential aspects of José Martí’s comprehensive understanding of the human being, by means of some of its subjective features: One, the revolutionary spirit, from which stands out the importance to understand the human being in relation to the needs of society, where duty to the country takes consistency; Two, the unified and comprehensive vision as an indispensable condition to fully conceive the human being; Three, the breadth of vision, which is seen as a factor that enables to perceive him in the culture.
