Abstract

CANTERO, María de los Ángeles. Responsibility Before the Moral Collapse in the Thinking of Arendt. Enfoques [online]. 2019, vol.31, n.1, pp.91-117. ISSN 1669-2721.

The article analyzes Arendt’s itinerary in the text Some Questions of Moral Philosophy in order to understand the characteristics of the moral collapse under totalitarian regimes and the decades following their fall, and to explicitly state the search for the main moral criteria necessary to guide the lives of men according to their condition. The phenomenon of responsibility is the hermeneutic key of the discussions and the relations with other texts in this paper. The article poses a hypothesis: the consistency of responsibility depends on reconstructing moral sense.

Keywords : Responsibility; Moral collapse; Will; Judgment; Common sense.
