Abstract
ALEMAN, Araceli. The Metaphorical-Conceptual Base of the Subject in Michel Foucault. A Cognitive Perspective. Enfoques [online]. 2020, vol.32, n.1, pp.17-44. ISSN 1669-2721.
Scholars and critics were convulsed when Michel Focault declared, in the early eight ies, that his authentic study object and interest had not been power, but subjectiva tion modes. Framed in the cognitive science of philosophical theories’ interdisciplin ary paradigm, this article explores patterns that enable to interpret this statement and to revise the status of the subject in the French philosopher’s work. It illuminates thus the processes that concern the elaborating and understanding fundamental philo sophical concepts, specially the experiential base of abstract concepts.
