Abstract

CAPRIATI, Alejandro  and  WALD, Gabriela. Theoretical and Methodological Contributions of Social Sciences to the Study of Health in Adolescence and Youth. Enfoques [online]. 2020, vol.32, n.1, pp.59-85. ISSN 1669-2721.

This article links a broad definition of health in adolescence with the development of a theoretical and methodological strategy to apprehend the diversity of conditions, situations and relationships capable of producing both well-being and discomfort in subjects, groups and their communities. This definition proposes going beyond the individual behavior to study the biographical trajectories in connection with the social scenarios in which they occur. The proposal focuses its question on the analy sis of the relationships between macro-structural processes, institutions and people’s experiences.

Keywords : Youth; Health; Vulnerability; Biography; Scenario.
