Resumen

NORVERTO, Lía. Work of women for women: an exploration of the "Women Municipals Areas" in the province of La Pampa. Aljaba [online]. 2008, vol.12, pp.147-160. ISSN 1669-5704.

The following work presents a first approach into the analysis of the "Women Areas" in the municipal establishments of La Pampa, as the object of study. Working conditions, labor practices, access to charges, arrangement of affected personnel, and the vision of their own practices in relation to the demands of women belonging to different communities; they constitute the main revealed aspects, and give evidence of a "place" in the provincial and municipal politics. We find ourselves with a work of the voluntary type, without remuneration in most cases, and without a spatial delimitation of the domestic environment, that reproduces the permanent contradictions of the female participation in the working world. The distances between speeches and practices, norms and actions, they are regular in the public agencies linked to women. Examining - from multiple edges - the work of, with and for the women, is a constant questioning that we should do to ourselves, we intend to show and to favor the denaturalization of the segregation by gender.

Palabras clave : Work; Gender; "Women areas"; State; Politics.
