Abstract

ALVAREZ, Norberto  and  TORRICELLA, Andrea. Gender Studies and Family History: A research ground in progress: some considerations and challenges. Aljaba [online]. 2009, vol.13. ISSN 1669-5704.

In this article, we take under consideration the academic production on the Family History and the Gender Studies field since the 1980s. Our major aim is to observe if there has existed any exchange betweenthem and, eventually, the ways that this relation has adopted. We analyze investigations on the XIXth and XXth century Family History in order to ask two questions; one in regard to the place of women's experience; the other, in regard to the definitions of "gender" used.

Keywords : Family; Gender; History; Women; Historiography.
