This paper addresses the participation of women in trade unionism in Argentina. The purpose is to analyze and reflect on positive action measures such as quota female union how to achieve a greater presence of women in political bodies and power of unions. We assume that within the trade union the problem concerning the actual relationship between affiliation and representation in trade unions is asymmetric, the descent is greater than the representation that hold women within the unions, which believe is due to the lack of trust within the male leaders in women's leadership capabilities and proposed new guidelines within union structures. We believe that this positive action measure would allow a cultural change to have any chance of access of women in decision- making of trade unions of strong androcentric key.
