The active and creative energy of maternity constitutes the core and support of Patriarchal domination. The Name of the Father has been instituted over the silence, vilification and expropriation of what in the human origin meant the divine and vivifying action of the Mother. The following pages aim at deconstructing the main religious, philosophical, psychological, moral and political mechanisms, by which the hegemonic system transformed maternity in a function-of-Father, and the filial relationship in a penis-son, addressed to supply the castration of the mother.
