Knowledge of parasitic nematodes in reptiles from Argentina is scarce, with 26 nematode species reported in 40 reptile species so far. Among the reptile species studied, the genus Liolaemus has the largest records of nematodes analyzed. In order to contribute to the parasitic knowledge of reptiles in Argentina, we mention the first record of nematode Parapharyngodon sceleratus and a new host for Spauligodon sp. Both species of oxiurid nematodes were recorded in the lizard Liolaemus parvus. The nematode P. sceleratus presents as diagnostic characteristics 9 caudal papillae: 1 pair ventral pre-anal, 1 pair ventral ad-anal, 1 pair lateral ad-anal and 1 papilla inpar, 1 pair on caudal appendage, in addition smooth cloacal lip. These characteristics differ from Parapharyngodon riojensis which has 7 papillae and Parapharyngodon sanjuanensis which has 8 papillae respectively. Both with echinate cloacal lips and which are nematode species previously mentioned for San Juan lizards. The nematode Spauligodon sp. exhibits in the female two terminal sessile papillae in the tail; this characteristic separates them from the rest of the species in the genus. Parapharyngodon sceleratus is the fourth species of the genus mentioned from Argentina. Liolaemusparvus is the third species of the genus Liolaemus as host of P. sceleratus in South America, representing a new parasite-host interaction.
