The objective of this article is to analyze the roll of Nueva Era`s journal in the diffusion of political rights of Viedma`s society, (capital of the National Territory of Río Negro), between 1916-1922. The elections of communal representatives and members of the Tribunal of Peace are the only space to exercise the political rights for the citizens. In this context, it is important to identify the position of this journal respect of the National Government, of the Unión Cívica Radical party and the relation with the conservatories, the Municipal Council and others newspapers.
