SERVETTO, Alicia. (The political meaning of federal interventions in the third peronist government: move" to "the departed" and "cleanse" the peronism. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2009, vol.8, n.2. ISSN 1669-9041.

Between 1973 and 1974 the central government ordered the intervention to five provinces. Appealing to article 6 of the Constitution, and arguing the need to ensure the republican forms of government, federal interventions of third Peronist government was one of the legal instruments used to settle the contest intraperonista and settled, thus strongholds the power of Peronism revolutionary. In most cases, the onset of conflict was associated with internal bids ruling party, Peronism, and the distribution of posts among the various sectors that formed the government. This situation tended to worsen after Peron's election as President of the Republic, marking the start of a wave offensive aimed at moving the sectors linked or supported by the Peronist left, to replace the most orthodox and verticalists: Antenor Gauna in Formosa (November 1973), Ricardo Obregón Cano in Córdoba (February 1974), Alberto Mendoza Martinez Baca (August 1974); Jorge Cepernic in Santa Cruz (October 1974) and Miguel Ragone in Salta (November 1974). Intervened in the five provinces, the governors were challenged, accused of allowing infiltrators in their government. The accusation came from the ranks of the ruling party. Prevailed, by the way, the struggle between Peronist sectors for control of the areas of power, meaning, the fight for control of the state, between the revolutionary left and the political right.
