Abstract

PEREZ, Marta Elizabeth; QUINTANA, Sergio  and  FRUTOS, María Elva. The roll of press in Salta considered in editorials and political columns during 1975. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2009, vol.8, n.2. ISSN 1669-9041.

This paper is framed on the Research Program Nº 1474 called: "The press in Salta in the time of repression and censorship (1975-1983)". In this case, we investigate the roll played by the newspapers El Tribuno y El Intransigente during 1975, the previous year to the beginning of the Military Dictatorship in 1976. Our goal is to find by comparative examination the discourse strategies, subjects, ways of discourse structuration and silences upon topics related with political violence and freedom of expression. The analysis proceeds by the identification of discourse markings that allows us to recognize: ways of give sense to concepts, kinds of configuring homogeneous topics and trans-discoursive doxa, and its uses for support or confrontation of political actions. Through this, we analyze the roll of the press in the context of political violence, the struggle for distribution of social resources and the inflationary crisis raised on 1975. This year holds the key to understand the roll of press in 1976 dictatorship.

Keywords : Press; Journal discourse; Argumentation; Configuration discursive.
